Moore: How Steve Wilks has gotten players ready for training camp

We might be through offseason workouts, voluntary OTAs and minicamp, but without pads, it’s not football. It’s foundation building.

To that point, Steve Wilks seems to have poured himself into his players through leadership aphorisms.

“The speed of the pack is determined by the speed of the leader” … “Be where your feet are” … “don’t let ‘it’ get in the way” … “many parts, one body of work.”

The head coach quotables are sticking with his players as they head into the last break before training camp starts next month. From here, it looks like “Wilks’ Wisdom” is working.
